Its been six months and I finally am under 200 pounds. I've lost 80 pounds since August and life sure is different. I'm starting to not be an invisible person. I have so much energy. The only drawback is the loose skin thing. I've noticed it especially in my abdomen. I know I will need plastic surgery to remove it all but not until I'm all finished with the weight loss. Carry on out there to everyone who is going through this with me. The weight does come off. Good Luck! Nancy

Congratulations!! I am only 9 weeks out but have lost 56 pounds. I think I am going to need plastics too but time will tell. Congratulations again and good luck with the rest of your journey.

Hi Nancy, My starting weight is 217 (bad high blood pressure not controlled with meds is why I opted for the surgery and only 5 days post op it's already improving) Now that being said, My goal is 77 lbs and it may take me a year it may take me 8 months it may take me 5 months...what really matters is to keep your eye on the prize and aim for your goal; sounds like your head is in the right place. I'm a newbie but feel like I belong with the WLS Graduates. Goodness knows I have researched this whole process to near exhaustion and I know what it will take and where my focus needs to be aimed for. Not to mention, I have picked the brains of the WLS Graduates for what seems like a lifetime. You will be one soon yourself it looks like. Loose skin, I already have it even did Pre-Op, well, is it loose skin when you have a C-Section with only one baby and doc keeps checking for the 2nd baby because your belly is large enough to have two in it? LOL (that is when the water retention and blood pressure problems began for me) Anyway, Sag is me...and will be later too. I'm like you, I will wait until very close to my weight loss goal before I do surgery but I know I will have to..no doubt about it. Won't keep me from trying to exercise and help it along but sometimes it just doesn't do the trick. keep up the great work....people like you are such an encouragement and inspiration to us all.
