Hi Oregonians!

I'd like to introduce myself to you. I live in Portland and my health insurance finally changed this year to include WLS and I was (literally) the first appointment of the year at OHSU's Bariatric Surgery program. I've gone through all the hoops so far and am just waiting for my psych eval. I'm hoping for a late March/early April surgery date. I've been lurking on this site for years, reading the good, bad, and ugly about WLS. I'm impressed by the level of support that you provide each other, and thank you for sharing your journeys with those of us who are still dreaming of conquering obesity. Welcome Lisa, I've been lurking too. After, about 5 years I've finally decided to proceed with the surgery. I don't have a date yet. I have to drop 10 lbs first. I'm new to Oregon, Eugene. I've been here three years.-yes, it still feels somewhat new. Hope to talk to you soon. Nancy

Hi Lisa - I'm down here in Eugene, but am hoping to have surgery at OHSU as soon as possible. I know if will be at least a month or so, but I'd do it tomorrow in a heartbeat! Linda
