Well, I went back to the surgeon's office Friday afternoon because the abdominal pain from the gallbladder stone had gotten quite intense and was not going away. So, I got admitted and had surgery last night. I am home now and feel much better now that the darn gallbladder is out and the stone is gone. Thank you to everyone who was praying for me. You guys are the greatest group of people that I know.

Kim, I am so very glad that you are okay now and rid of the stone (and gall bladder) I still have mine and thank God have had no problems, my DH had his out about a year ago and his was "NO FUN" for both of us, it was real scarey. I am so glad that you were near your doctor to have this taken care of. You will still be in my prayers for feeling GREAT in the coming weeks. Chrisy

Thanks, Christine. I am sure I am gonna need the prayers ... this surgery was much more painful than I anticipated.

Oh Kim - so glad that nasty gallbladder is out! I had a kidney stone last year and thought I would die. I think the pain is similar. Best wishes for a speedy recovery. Linda

Hi Linda, I am also glad it is out. I've not had a kidney stone so cannot relate on that but the gallstone was not intense pain 24/7 but more of a nuisence-type of pain. I am glad to have it out. I just hope the pain improves soon. This hurts worse than the RNY postop pain!!

after I had my hysterectomy I was still having intense pain when it was time to go back to work and they figured out it was my gallbladder. They removed it and that surgery hurt much worse than the hysterectomy. You will feel better soon!

I seem to be hearing quite a bit of that today ... I wonder why the gb surgery is more painful? Oh well. Thanks for your input.

Hi Krystal, I am so glad to be home. Unfortunately, I am having quite a bit of pain and this recovery is not anywhere as easy as the recovery from my RNY was. I don't know why but I will be glad when the healing process is over with.
