Well I got the results of the ultrasound today ... gallbladder is normal. YAY!! But I have one LARGE gallstone and that is most likely causing my pain. Thankfully they got the results back quickly. I just had it done yesterday morning. I called my surgeon this morning cause I was having the pain again after having a FF yogurt of all things. Sheesh, getting pain now with FF stuff too??? Anyway, he went over the results on the phone with me and wants to see me on Monday morning at 9 a.m. so hopefully we can get this taken care of pretty quickly. Thanks to everyone for their love and support. Please keep praying for me over the weekend and into the next week.

Even though I replied on the main board, I'm glad that you have good doctors to stay on top of these things. I hope you have a pain free weekend (if you can), and that you can get your treatment scheduled soon!

Kim, I am glad you posted. I was gonna send you a message and ask how it went. I am sorry that you have a gallstone but I guess things could be much worse. What is the treatment for a gallstone?? I hope its not much pain!!! Have a great weekend! Tara

ouch!! A big stone can really hurt like a red hot poker (yep, been there, done that, gallbladder is all gone...) Hope they can break it up so they don't have to remove the organ! {{{{hugs}}}} Trisha

Hey Kim, Hope they get rid of that stone. I had my gallbladder removed a couple years before RNY but my pain was more constant nagging and not overly painful. If the gallbladder is normal, where is the stone? Julia

Hi Julia, The stone was inside the gallbladder and it was blocking the entrance to the common bile duct. That is what was causing my pain. I did have the surgery on Friday and I am feeling somewhat better, I think anyway. I have more pain recovering from this surgery than I do from the RNY. I am actually quite surprised how much more pain there is. I am hoping it will be better in the coming days.

Oh Kim, I am glad it is out. That can be awful. I read your posts about looking like a stabbing victum and I bet you feel that way too. Two surgeries in 6 weeks is a lot. Take it easy and recoop. Will see you next Saturday at breakfast??? Julia

I am hoping to be at the breakfast but not making any promises. LOL. I am in quite a bit of pain but I bet by the weekend it will be better.
