SNOW
They rarely ever close school in Roseburg for snow but the ice was added so they did close today as did almost all schools in our county. The kids were having fun here. I work in an Alzheimers Memory Care Facility and the one I was at this morning was so fun as the activities director had some of the residents out building snowmen and they made snow ice cream. Those residents had so much fun. One, who is a fairly high functioning alzheimers resident, said to me " I haven't made a snow man since I was 40"! She is usually quite depressed but perked up today. Fun to see. Julia
I only live one mile from one of my buildings so went in today. The one I was suppose to go to is 25 miles south of Roseburg and over a small mountain. They had a lot of wrecks between here and there, no major injuries but glad I did not go down there. Now tonight they are already telling people to stay home off of I-5 and secondary roads as they are already starting to have a lot of wrecks due to ice. I live on a hill so may not venture out too early in the morning myself. It is suppose to be in the low 20's tonight and some freezing fog which is a nightmare. Stay safe. Julia
