Thinking positive

Okay - it's a new year and a new me, right? So, instead of whining about not being able to have surgery here in Eugene, I called OHSU and have an appointment to go to their information session on Jan 22nd. Time to take the bull by the horns and do something positive. I have a doc's appt in the morning and will be making sure I qualify beforehand. I don't think this is going to be a problem. Here we go! Good luck! I was back to square one in January 2004 and had my surgery in April. It is worth it to continue pursuing. It's more rare to have a straight path to our surgery date. Most of us have had to keep on plugging until something comes through. Patty

Linda, I went through the same thing. Went to the seminar in Eugene in June. Found out that my insurance wouldn't pay for the WLS there and had to start over. Went to the seminar in Aug. at Good Samaritan. Finally finished all the pre op testing, etc. and hope to meet with Dr. Patterson within the next two weeks. It would have been nice to have the surgery in Eugene, but oh well. Just want to get it done. Hang in there. Diane
