lol, funny that we all connected here. Guess it's you first, then Karen, and I'm last for the day. I'm freaking out too, trying to get my mind wrapped around the hugh life change I'm about to make. We are leaving in the morning (the 28th) and will stay in the area (we're renting a cabin since we need to bring our 4 kids with us****il Saturday after the swallow test. I hope we will see each other there! Jennifer

Darn! I was really hoping you lived here! I really want someone to go to those support groups with me. Where do you live in Oregon? I am spending the entire weekend alone because my daughter forgot my surgery date. It's too bad we can't recouperate together. Oh well, we can support each other here! Where are you staying? I hope I see you there! Denise

Hi Ladies, I had my surgery with Dr. Tersigni also. Mine was on Dec 11th so I have been doing the liquid diet for 18 days, that was through Christmas also. I have been very good, but I'm getting to the point where I want to eat something. My husband has been a great supporter and tells me you do not want to mess it up (the surgery). When I got home I had to sleep on our recliner chair for a week. The port site hurts every time you move, so it helped to not have to use the mussels till it was not so sore. Believe me I did some soul serching, wondering if I made the right choice, but it will feel better in around 4 days. Just keep telling yourself it will get better! Good luck to you all and the best thing you can do is ask questions and keep in touch with people who have gone through this. Wishing you the best Terry
