friday is the day
Karen,
Boy do I understand, right behind you on 1/2... but RNY not lapband.
The nerves are killer aren't they? I've been fluctuating between nervous and terribly excited. Does your family think you are going a little "strange"? hehe
Good luck, and I will keep my fingers crossed that all goes well.

Hi Sister's, Dr Tersigni is my surgeon as well!! I had RNY on Nov. 07, 2006 in Coos Bay, at Bay Area hospital, which is just around the corner from Dr.'s office. Both Dr. Tersigni, his nurse Robin are just wonderful and my surgery went great!! They were both there and explained EVERYTHING I needed to know. The surgery was at Bay Area hospital and the staff there were just as wonderful, Robin asked me to call for pain med's every hour on the hour, not that I needed it, she just wanted the nurse's to be checking on me every hour, I did not have to call the nurse's not one time, they were in there to make sure everything was fine with me. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Tersigni, Robin or the nurse's at the hospital, they all made my fears go away at once! I will be praying for all of you, so please let us know, and remember, walk, sip, and cough, walk, and walk some more and sip, sip sip.

Thanks for the encouragement, so far i am impressed with Dr. Tersigni and his staff. Robin is great and offers so much information. Midy is wonderful too. I felt very comfortable when I left thier office. They have called me a couple of times checking that I have all my stuff taken care of. I am having my surgery done at Bay Area hospital also, glad to hear positive things about that hospital. Thanks for the prayers I can always use them.

Good luck on your surgery. I'd just like to add that Coos Bay/North Bend is really an incredible town! My grandparents had lived there for years and my aunt and uncle still live there. I wish I were down there myself.
The beaches in the area are really, really incredible. If you get a chance, you may want to go to Shore Acres and look out over the ocean. Its a hidden gem on the Oregon coast (it costs to get in but it really is worth it). You may even be able to see the whales migrating!
Coos Bay has always been my "touch stone". If life gets too hectic, I head to Coos Bay. Its full of such fond memories for me.
All the best,
Lori
Hey this is really something! I am having my band at the surgery center on Friday too!
Mine is at 7am. I was wishing I was later after I went there yesterday and they told me that Dr . T. is doing 3 lap bands on that day! We are going to have to talk. It's going to be nice to have someone to go through this with! I am freaking out, presently. Such a big life change. I love Dr. Tersigni and Robin though. I have been going to their support group for over a year.
Hope to hear back from more of Dr. T's patients. He also did my daughers RNY a year ago today! Denise
