Anyone going to the Info Session at Eugene Bariatrics 11/30?

I'm going to attend another of the information sessions at Sacred Heart on Thursday night, 11/30. I've been on their waiting list, still waiting for the Regence BC/BS Center of Excellence Certification. I thought, since I can't go to the support groups until I'm an actual patient, I'd go to another info session so I can ask more questions. If any of you are going, let me know, and I'll look for you. Hi Linda it is my understanding that anyone can attend the Support Group, you do not have to be a patient yet. You should go if you can, they are very helpful. Mary

Hi Mary - I checked with the office and they said no, I had to be a patient first. Actually, I went to the information session again last night and it was GREAT! The doctors were wowed at how well informed we all were and what great questions everyone asked. It was so much better than the first time I went. I spoke with the office staff this morning and they just received an update from the "Center of Excellence" folks. They have been overwhelmed with applications from different centers this year and are behind. Eugene will have their certification answer (which we're all assuming will be YES) by mid- to late December. So, hopefully, I have only another few weeks to wait! I am so stoked. Linda

Linda, That is great news. Hopefully you will be well on your way soon. I am 1 week and 2 days postop and down 22 pounds. I feel absolutely fabulous and even have more energy already. I am so glad I had this done; I just wish I'd done it years ago. Best of luck to you.
