I knew them, but, they didn't know me. You all were so good at answering my last question. I had all the info i needed going in. So, my theropist wil write the eval. I don't need a sleep study, had one six months ago. I,m going back for blood work and Dietition tomorrow. This is great, cause I'm on vacation all week and don't need to take time off to do this. My BMI is 46 (gross) but, hey, i wouldn't be going if it was 20. They say i can go to the support group on the 28th, and that my surgery wouldn't be until January sometime. Wow, this all went so fast. Now, to wait for insurance approval and to try and lose the 10 lbs. Thanks everyone for being so great. Nancy

Good for you Nancy. I'm still waiting on the Center of Excellence thing which was supposed to happen this month. I hope it happens soon. I'd like the surgery to take place in February or March at the very latest. I have to fly in April and would like to be a little more comfortable in the plane seat! Best of luck to you. Linda

Good luck on your surgery. I am schedule for Dec 13th. I have already did everything they wanted me to and more. I have lost a total of 33 lbs since I started this whole thing in June. My insurance has already approved my surgery. My greatest fear now is gaining weight back before surgery. I wish you luck Nancy. Kat

Hi, I was just wondering about your insurance company and how you were approved. I have regency blue cross blue shield of oregon and work for a small non profit and they will not cover my surgery. I am seeking information from others that may know of a company that will cover cost. Any info will help. Thanks Mindy

Good going Nancy! I lost the 10 pounds by really cutting carbs and hitting the protein hard. Also, I went to Dubai, United Arab Emirates and got sick eating something strangely foreign so it helped too LOL. I am 2 weeks out today and except for a little ache on the left side incision I would never know I had surgery. AND I AM NOT HUNGRY! Down 22 pounds today! Happy Thanksgiving. Kathy

Hi Nancy, Contratulations on taking the steps that have gotten you this far. I am in with the same group and have attended the support group. I have not missed one yet and find them to be a sense of comfort to me. I am currently "hoping to have surgery" and going through the requirements of my insurance company. I feel so good to be a part of this group and I'm happy to hear you may be at the next meeting too. It would be great to meet you. Take care and Happy Holidays. Darla Putnam
