Well I had the interview tonight with KEZI in Eugene and part 1 should air on Thanksgiving night. It went well and I really hope it helps to inspire someone who is thinking about surgery but wants more information and is nervous about seeking the info. I cannot wait to see it! They are going to meet me at the hospital on Wednesday and are hoping to go into the OR to document surgery for the story. Should be quite interesting to see it afterwards. I just wonder how many extra pounds the camera adds to someone as large as me. ROFL.

Kim, My husband and I were just talking about how we wish that there would be a "reality" show following us "normal" bariatric patients. It seems that all you see on TV are the extremes and the people that have difficulties. I am so happy for you and am looking foward to watching! See you tomorrow night at group meeting! (this is my first post on here... and I just got my surgery date today so I am super excited) How did you get into contact with the news? Did they contact you? I havent heard of them doing a story on this but I think its about time! Tara

Hi Kelly, I don't think it will air in Portland but I am hoping to post it to my profile. I will need to have my teenager help me with that when I get a copy of the DVD.

Hi Tara, I would agree with you. That is why I decided to contact them. I sent them an email since they were doing quite a few stories lately on the options of WLS in their Health Watch segments. Within a few minutes of hitting "send", I had a reply from the anchor ... she was very interested in interviewing me and following me thru my surgery and into the beyond. When is your surgery? Good luck with it. I am hoping to be able to post it to my profile so everyone can see it.

Wow Kim. I don't get the local channels (I have satellite TV) but maybe I can see it at my brother's house. I wish you the very best with the surgery. I'll be saying prayers for you on Wednesday. I work right near Sacred Heart, so if you want a visitor on Thursday, I could find you. Let me know - I know you won't be feeling your best! I look forward to hearing how WELL you are doing! Linda

Thanks, Linda. That is very kind of you. If you want to stop by, that's fine ... can't guarantee I will be awake or coherent. LOL.

Wow Kim, that is great. Can't think of a better way to get this subject out to the public and great publicity for the new program. I am an R.N. and would have loved to have had a video of my surgery to watch. Not too sure I would want to have the T.V. station tape it thoughl You are brave!! Good luck with your surgery--camera and all. I am sending an angel your way. Julia
