my nutritionist set a goal for me of 204lbs, that's weighing in at her office with clothes (she insists on that). I told her that my goal is 199lbs, so that I have a "1" in front of my weight, which would be the first time that would have happened since I was a sophomore in college. I currently weigh about what I weighed when I graduated in 1984. So that means as of this morning, I have 22 lbs to lose to reach that goal. The surgeon said that the "honeymoon" period lasts 6-12 months, when weight loss is easiest. I've hit a bit of a plateau the last few weeks, but he says this is more what the loss will look like from now on. Slow and steady wins the race. I'm down from a 54 waist pant to 42 moving toward 40's. Shirts have gone from 3 or 4x to XL. I bought some undershirts which are L, and they fit nicely. My shoe size is down from a 10.5 to a 10. This is strange territory for me. So there it is. Six months from now I hope I can report that I am at my goal! I totally relate to the idea of wanting to be in onderland! While it is true about that wonderful honeymoon stage, I lost another twenty well into my second year when I was thinking I was probably done. It would be a couple pounds here, a few there. They add up! Not quite like when I was dropping twenty a month, but when you are at a lower weight they make a big difference too. Congratulations on your success! Patty
