New member ~ 1st Posting

This is the first time I'm trying this message board posting. I had RNY on Monday 10/30/06 and came home on Tuesday, Halloween, only to end up back in the hospital Thursday morning. I began vomitting ~OUCH~ late Wed night. They think it was a reaction to the pain meds, none of which I could keep down. Besides what I was on in the hospital, I've been dealing without any pain meds. So, the adventure this far has been a bumpy one, but one week post-op and I'm finally beginning to feel a little better.

Welcome to the boards Teri, This site has been wonderful for me. I had to wait 7 months before having surgery and came to this site often to see what others were exper. I am sorry you had such a had time with your pain meds! I try to use as little as I can get by with. I had my surgery on Thru. night. I got home on sat. afternoon. So I am 5 day post op. I had a very hard time in the hosp. with the nursing staff. You can read all about it. I posted it tonight. I hope you keep feeling better and better real soon! Odetta
