I have never participated in message boards, but I think connecting with the WLS community is really important, not only for me and my success, but also for new WLS patients. I am 11 months since my surgery [anniversary date: 12/01/05 ] I have lost 100 pounds and 18 dress sizes. I am very happy with my surgical results and am now prepared to hold steady. My surgery was performed in Chula Vista (San Diego). Seven months after my surgery I moved to Stayton, Oregon. Now I have to find new doctors, nutritionists, and hopefully a closer support group in addition to the support group I attend in Portland which has been a great help to me in my weight loss journey. I am interested in starting a support group closer to my home. Anyone have suggestions on where/how to begin?

Thanks so much for the reply Lori. I am interested in the support group. Which hospital? Salem Hospital? Is it every Tuesday night?

You might want to check with the Corvallis Samaritan Bariatric Program for your needs. It's a wonderful program. 541-768-4280 Darla
