OMG I realized its 2 weeks from today!!

When i was responding to another post I realized that imy surgery is only 2 weeks away. Boy I better wrap my mind around that! Guess I had better tell my mother and other family members that don't know, but I think I will wait till after my pre op appointment next week so I have more answers for them. My mom lives in Iowa but is in the process of moving back to Oregon, I know this will bother her that I didn't wait till she could be here bbut it wasn't feasable. She hasn't sold her home yet and so I just had to do it. My hubby has taken time off from work, so she shouldn't worry but she will. Anyway just wanted to say how surprised and excited I am...... My surgery is 2 1/2 weeks away.... I don't know what I feel yet... it still doesn't feel real to me! I am not as excited as I expected I would be, I thought I'd be exploding with excitement. I did cry in joy when I found out I was approved. I hope I get more excited... i guess I am just a worry wart! There will be plenty of time to be excited after surgery I guess! Good Luck with yours, which one are you getting... i'm getting banded!

That's terrific for you Gail. Who is your surgeon going to be? If your husband has taken off work to be with you, you will be in good hands! I know moms are good support, but husbands have gotten much better When my son was born my mom came with suitcase in hand to stay a week and tend to me and the baby. Modern guy that he is, my husband was in there changing diapers and helping me get the baby to breastfeed, and gave him his first bath. After a couple of days my mom went back home. It's better to get on with it and be on your way by the time she gets here. She can help with the major shopping trips you two will enjoy in your near future.
