Greetings from LA
I'm here for my plastics consult and it looks like things are a GO. I will be back in November for my first procedure. Appears my insurance will cover all the procedures we all dream about (no face lift, though) More than I anticipated so I have decisions to make.
I'll be home this weekend. Maybe we can have a breakfast in a couple of weeks and I'll tell you all about it...
We are leaving in a few minutes and I may not be able to access this site again for a while.
Joy, you skinny minnie, you! See you soon...

That is just such a great turn of events! It simplifies the qualifying process so much - one procedure qualifies you to be considered for the other. I am happy for you!!! I am envious you have got a path in front of you that's going to work - and soon! Let's meet up because I am starting to gather info for my procedure not too far down the road.

The trick, it appears, is to get in the door at the VA. That took me several months of blind alleys.
Then, the student (resident from UCLA Med School) ) doctor told me that if I wanted to see a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon, I should consider going elsewhere!
My question to him was whether he was speaking in an official capacity (As a student of another institution, no less) for the VA and showed him copies I had of the federal policy. That confused him enough to seek the advice of someone else.
I has to repeat several times that I had a right to board certified care and that I did NOT consent to being under the care of a student, I saw the KING OF PLATICS.
We hit it off and he offered me stuff I never thought possible or even considered (bat wing removal, thigh lift...)
Okay...breakfast next Sunday (29th?)? I am exhausted and have company coming this weekend.
xoxoxo
