Support group???

Hi...I'm new to Oregon, just moved from Kansas. was wondering if there is a support group in the Portland area anyone can go to. I'm actually in Oregon City. Looking forward to getting to know you... Deanna K

Hi Deanna! Wecome to Oregon. I am a transplant from California. I hope you learn to love Oregon as much as I do. There's a support group that meets once a month at Kaiser Permanante in Clackamas. It is held at the Mount Scott Medical Center, 9800 SE Sunnyside Rd. The next meeting takes place on October 28th. Post-ops meet at 8:45 a.m. and are then joined by pre-ops at 10 a.m. It's a great group and we also have an online support forum. Hope to see you there. We have a great bunch of people! Joy

Deanna, There are a bunch of us who get together for breakfast, lunch dinner, coffee....whatever, every once in a while. It would be great if you could make it sometime. Keep watching the board, or make a suggestion yourself. It's a lot of fun, getting together and comiserating! LOL Joy

Hi Deanna! Welcome to Oregon! I'm Deanna also! There is a support group meeting every 3rd Wednesday of the month at the Salem Hospital and it's open to anyone who wants to come! I know it's a bit further of a drive for you but I thought I'd let you know about it just in case! Deanna

Deanna, I just read throught part of your profile and I have to tell you that I find you totally inspiring! First of all, not only are we both Deannas ... but I also had PCOS and have a daughter and a son! I'm really glad you moved to Oregon ... I hope you like it here! Deanna
