MILK DIET DAY 5

I am on day five of nothing but skim milk and 0 caloric drinks, no fruit juice or caffiene. And actually my hunger isn't so bad but today I have a massive head ache that just won't quit. I'll take a percocet and go to bed here shortly, a nice nap always helps. But the milk thing isn't so bad, the thought of doing it for 3 more weeks is kind of scary so I just do it one day at a time. The worst thing is all the commercials on TV with hamburgers!!!! I don't know why but the call of the hamburger is really getting to me. I know I won't cheat my will is strong but oh those burgers, I'll look forward to a small one maybe next year. I just wanted to let you know I am surviving and am looking forward to my surgery on Nov. 3rd. Oh yeah, I know my doctor will tell me in my pre op appointment but I was wondering how long the surgery last. He also says I'll probably in the hospital 3 days, does that sound about right. Thanks Gail

We've had discussions about the milk diet here before. Do what you must but I think you're doctor has rocks in his/her head. There is nothing scientific about this regimine and, personally, I would go to another doctor if it were me. Again, you do what you must, I am not suggesting you do what I would do. Did you get a second opinion? THAT, I would suggest. tee

Gail, Have you seen the Bamix? It's a hand held mixer they were showing it on HGTV the other day. It spins so fast that they used it to make whip cream with skim milk. You can check it out at www.bamix.com, and I think they carry it locally too. It is a bit expensive, but might be worth it to be able to use a spoon to "eat" the milk. I have not tried it myself, but it looked really neat! Good luck! Jennifer

Great luck on your surgery... but what doc is putting you on an all milk diet... YIKES... Mary Lou Henner said in one of her books something like this... Cows Milk was ment for a cow... so that it can go from 60 (I dont remember the #) lbs to 350+ lbs (again I dont remember the #) in less then a year... I didnt like milk before... but that gave me reason to not like it... I hope you have other options... cause well I will stick with my first asserction... YIKES on all MILK!
