Waiting for appt w/ Surgeon

I have already done my initial appts at Legacy and had my sleep study. I have to meet with the Psychiatrist again tomorrow but still have not been referred to the surgeon's office yet. The waiting is hard but I'm trying to be patient. Of course I still have to lose my 13lbs. I am about 4lbs into it and it's going very slowly. I guess I'm just feeling a little discouraged and trying to keep my spirits up. It has been nice and a great help to read everyone's posts. I guess I'm just needing a morale boost.

I think they're just really busy. I had a fill scheduled for Monday. It was rescheduled until the 30th. This is the first time they rescheduled me (something about Dr. Jan being out of the office for a while). They are worth the wait, though. Good luck! Lori

I was just there yesterday for my appt. with Dr. Hong, and they are very busy. If you call the obesity institute, and ask about the progress of your paperwork, mabe they will put a rush on it. The good news is that when I went in to schedule my surgery, they were only 2 weeks out. Good Luck!!!

Thanks Kelly, I was just there yesterday at the institute to meet with Dr. Staffelbach again and she said that they are referring me to the surgeon's office and my next step is to have my consultation with the surgeon. I am getting really excited.

Hi Kelly, I am waiting for my date too. I have had to wait for 6months per my insurance! It has been a long wait. After my appt. with Dr. Hong he said that I needed a scope down my throat. He found a palup and bi-opsyed it, and a small hernea. I am waiting for the insurance to approve the surgey. Dr. Hong said he thought I would have my sur. 1st or 2nd week in Nov. I can't wait!!! It has been such a long time of waiting!
