Kaiser RNY approval
Hey Carrie,
I am going through the process right now. You will have to complete either the 12 week or the 5 week weight managment class. That will be just the beginning. You will have to see physical therapists and nutritionist and social workers. You will have to loose appx 10% of your total body weight. I am going today to see the physical therapist and social worker. Then back to see Julie(bariatric social worker) and Brenda(nutritionist). Once Julie and Brenda approve you they will send your case to the bariatric board for review.(they only meet once a month) If they approve your case and think you have made enough progress they will set a surgery date. Just before surgery you will meet with the surgeon. This is everything I have been told. I am still trukin' along. Hopefully makeing some progress.
Good luck.
Sarah

Just don't forget to drop by GI Joe's and put fishing weights in your underwear before you go for your first appointment.
Their weight loss requirements are known to be kinda dumb. So, put them in there and then when time comes to lose the weight, take them out a little at a time.
They will be sooooo proud of you!
Beat 'em at their own game!
