Hi Kelly!!, my name is Rosella. Thank you for the information that you provided
us about yourself.
Let me explain everything to you.
Our procedure is the Open Gastric Bypass Roux-n-Y.
We are located in Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico, one hour and 30
minutes driving distance, south of San Diego, California, USA.
You have to be here one day before of the surgery, to do the
pre-op test (blood and urin) at 5:30pm and to have an appointment
with Dr. Aguirre at 6:00pm. The day of the surgery you have to
be at the hospital at 7:00am. You have to stay two nights at the hospital
and can leave Ensenada, our town, the 5th day after surgery.
The total cost for the surgery is $9,900.00 dollars, this includes:
Pre-op test
Costs associated with the surgery:
Medical staff (bariatric surgeon, anesthesiologist, assistant)
Hospital fee (3 days and 2 nights, surgery room, medical material, medication, hospital
staff all day and night)
Transportation service (round trip from San Diego California, USA, to Ensenada Baja
Baja California, Mexico. 1 hour and 30 minutes driving distance).
Lodging (Apartment, 7 days and 6 nights)
The first half of the staples and the drain tube have to be off the
7th day after surgery and the last half have to be off the 8th day after
surgery.
If you smoke, please quit.
Do you take any kind of medications?.
You can schedule now. To assure your date, you have to make a deposit
of $500.00 dollars in a bank account in the Unites States. The rest of
the payment has to be done with just one cashier check, and this one can
be done the day before surgery at your appointment with Dr. Aguirre.
Our closest available date is October 3rd, 12th, 19th, and 26th.
We have several available dates for November for now.
I'm working with Dr. Aguirre, to give his patients information about
the stay, transportation, a better service an attention. I'm sending
you all the information in an attachment in the next e-mail, about our way of transportation
and the apartment pictures (this apartment is the one that is included with the price).
If you want to stay at an hotel, that is an extra cost, also, the airfare.
Our phone number is 011 52 646 1783821, that is the way that you
have to dial from the United States.
If you have any questions or need more information,
please let me know, remember that I'm always here to help and guide you.
Have a great day and take care
Good to put the info out there. I know Mexico sounds kind of drastic and maybe a bit scary, but I understand it is a state of the art facility and have heard great things about Dr. Aguirre. They have perfected the routine of having out of country patients make the journey. I would trust any recommendation Dina made. She knows her stuff. I will probably look into Mexico as an option when I do my reconstructive surgery. I have heard great things about Brazil for that, but feel the same hesitancy about it sounding so far away and drastic. I guess if anything went wrong, my family would think I had been nuts to even consider going there. Sometimes in life you just have to grab the brass ring and do it - hope it all goes well - and really weigh it against not doing it and still having your problem.
