Ok gals I am taking the risk, on monday my husband will go to the base and get us ready to sign up for the tricare insurance. It will cost my family twice as much for insurance for at least the next year but it is better than no surgery or having to be self pay which is really the only option as I will not live like this anymore. I have to admit the old guilt is rearing his head, I know this will be a financial strain for my family, I have been trying to think of how I personally can make an extra 300 a month to help take the strain off the budget but physically my full time job is all I have in me at this time of my life. my husband wants me to have the surgery so its not him that causes this feeling its the old tapes from my ex, I remember when I wanted to get braces for my daughter,, not his child,, and I had to choose between a new car which I needed or her braces,,, needless to say I drove the old ford van untill after we divorced . Now I have the most incredable man in the world,, and I still have guilt, Last night after Al ( my husband ) and I decided to change insurance and have the surgery (hopefully it will be covered) I had a dream about my ex,, I know its the old guilt tapes. any way we will apply and pay the 785.00 for the first month of Insurance by the 28th of september and we will have the tricare by the 1st of october other wise it will Jan before I can get it again,, I just dont want to wait any longer, so I am making the jump. God I hope it works out ok,, I have to admit I am a little scared that after all this they will find a reason to turn me down. I will be 43 on Oct 22 I dont want to waiste one more year,, pray for me ladys Kelly

I've heard a lot of people are pretty successful with e-bay. I don't sell, I buy (lol) so I know I'm making someone rich somewhere! Good luck to you! Lori

I sell on ebay and have for several years. I make at LEAST $300 extra per month and it really takes only one weekend day per week to set up my auctions, and then a few minutes a day to respond to questions, etc. You can even print your postage labels from home and schedule a usps carrier to pick up your packages. You can start with the things you have around...just look them up on ebay and see what they are going for, you would be surprised! Hope this helps!! Heather in Albany, OR

Hi again! Well, you asked about costs...and I am not sure what is "screwy" about ebay at all! I love it! I am not the type to sit around hosting garage sales, etc, so this works for me! I would like you to email me privately for very detailed info. I would go to ebay, type something in that you have, and see what it is going for. Childrens clothes and toys do well, so do plus sizes ( ; as do many, many other things! It is a low cost per auction listing, around $1 to $5 on average, depending on the starting price and ending price (ebay makes a percentage) and the secret is making a great looking listing with photos, words & layout and a specific title. It is just one idea...or try listing stuff you can part with in the classifieds of your local paper! Just have the belief it will all turn out ok! Oh yeah, and if you can cut costs anywhere in your bills, tv, phone, cells, internt, do that! I am switching internet providers now...save some $$! Hope this helps!

I didn't catch the connection between Tricare and ebay, so it was a non sequiter to me. Now I get that you were suggesting how to makle some extra money for the cost. I get it now. tee

Ebay? Something is scwewy on the site today. I don't know what to tell you except that you have to do what you have to do. Sometimes you have to unburden yourself of unnecessary baggage. What useful purpose does that guilt have for you? If truly none, then take a big rock, write "I don't derserve it" or whatever the tapes say and throw it into the river so you don't have to carry it any more. Then, let it go. Don't sweat the small stuff........and it's all small stuff. tee

Yes, you are worth it!!! Your children are worth having a healthy Mom. Your husband is worth having a happy wife. The $300 a month? When my daughter had RNY she found that her grocery bill dropped at least $200 a month! You GO girl!! Barb in Portland
