New to the boards
Hi all,
I am new here. I am waiting for the surgon to call and set the appt. for my surgery. I can't wait! I had to wait for the 6 months because of my Insurance. This part is going sooo slow! I am a 3rd grade teacher and I hope to go back after 2 weeks. Is that going to be too soon? Did anyone have Dr. Ema Patterson? Thanks, Odetta
I used Legacy Obesity Clinic of which Dr Patterson is the lead. I used Dr. Jan, who is wonderful. I know it seems like things don't move fast enough but it will all come together for you at the right time. The clinic is excellent and the hospital is very good and the nurses are wonderful too. As far as going back to work, check with your surgeon and also listen to your body. It will let you know if it is too soon. Everyone recuperates at different levels, so just stay tuned into yourself and don't ru**** I am excited for you and wish you well. I'm 5 weeks out and have lost 30 pounds, which I haven't been able to do for a long time! Good Luck!

I also had Dr. Jan. He was great. The office functions well and I've not had too much of a problem dealing with them (in other words, no complaints here).
You're at the slow stage. Were you hoping to have surgery around the Christmas break (I don't care what school calls it, we know what it is...) or wait for either spring break or next summer?
Good luck to you!
