Dr. Jan & vitamins?
Has anyone used Dr. Jan and had their 3-4 week check up? I am interested in what vitamins that prescribes at this first check up. Where these vitamins an over the counter or by prescription? Also, did he prescribe the medication to prevent gallstones? I heard that one of the vitamins that he prescribes is like $100 a month and insurance won't cover the cost. If anyone has information on this I would greatly appreciate it.
Hey Michelle,
I don't have the answer to your question, but was wondering how you doing??? feeling?? and all that jazz. I had my surgion visit with Dr. Jan on the 10th and thought he was really friendly. Anyways--I've been following your journey and just wanted to know how's it going for ya. Congrats on your beginning your new lighter you.
I am feeling pretty good but I do have the occassional day when no matter what I do or how much protein I eat I get really run down. I have a follow up with Dr. Jan on Monday the 17th and I have a few questions as to why I am feeling a pull in the abdomen area. I am suppose to go back to work on Tuesday the 25th but I am worried that with the type of work I do that I won't be ready to go and work 10 hours a day. I also have had some pretty bad back pain but I wonder if that is from the weight shifting. In the last three weeks I have lost 25 pounds...with only 1 pound loss this week. I have been told this weight loss thing is like a wave...you lose some weight and then your body has to catch up with it and during that time you won't see much loss and then you will lose more weight and your body will have to catch up with that again. Let me know how your approval and surgery goes....good luck!
I'm glad that your doing well, but sorry about your run down days. To bad that you can't stay home until your feeling 90-100%. Hopefully you have a light duty position--that they can slide you into that wouldn't wear you out as much.
I just found out today that I get to have surgery on Aug. 11th. I can't tell you how jacked I am (well you probably know) I appreciate all your info and advice since your 1 month before me--I've been trying to follow your situation. Thanks again for the update.
Did your insurance cover the Urso or is that over the counter? Was the iron pill that was originally prescribed not an over the counter thing then? If I am not being to nosey, do you have BCBS of Oregon that let you have a replacement? I am just trying to find out what can I expect to pay next month for vitamins.
