Corvallis/Albany/Philomath?

Anyone here from those towns? I haven't begun the process yet, but will be attending the meeting at OHSU on 7/24. I was hoping to participate in one of their studies examining energy expenditure pre- and post-bariatric surgery (and use the money to help pay for the surgery) but unless I could find some car pool buddies, the cost of gas would be too much. The study requires showing up every morning for 15 days straight (!) then a three night inpatient stay. Nonetheless, I will still pursue the surgery. But if this sounds intriguing to anyone out there, let me know!

I'm not from any of those towns, but wanted to say HEY. The study sounds interesting! What do you have to do and how much do they pay you. I live too far away to participate, but thought it sounded interesting.

Hi Nancy, Check out the state peers for peeps in your area. You might also wish to check out Dr. Robert Read in Corvallis. Quite a few from that area have used him as their surgeon and he has a large support group at Good Sam. and I know there are quite a few from that area that are members here. Click on Dr. Read on my sign line and it will bring up some of his patients I believe. Pat
