I am not familiar with Toronto restaurants but you can usually always find something bariatric friendly anywhere you go. Just skip the carb side, ask for sauce on the side, you can find protein anywhere.

Have a good weekend!

I have taken the orientation and my first appointment with the psychiatrist is in august. I'm prepared for a long wait but now that I've made the decision to do it i'm wishing it would just happen. I guess its good to start making changes now and prepare for whats coming.

I am 7 months out from surgery, down over 100 lbs now, and me and the Hubby are taking a trip down south to Toronto for the weekend. What and where do you like to eat that is somewhat bariatric friendly downtown Toronto? Please note that I am also allergic to eggs since before surgery and I also have not had any issues eating anything as of yet (except a dried fig, won't be doing that again lol), I don't eat white bread, white rice or simple carbs at all. I will be bringing and buying stuff from the grocery stores as well but the hubby would like to take me out for dinner a couple times throughout our trip. Any recommendations?

Thanks!

Referral date: March 20, 2018 Orientation Date: May 30, 2018 Surgery date: October 29, 2018 with Dr Rotstein at St Micheal's in Toronto.

Hello all. I got out for an extended walk last night so I feel good about that but tonight will depend on the weather. I can always use my indoor cycle but its just not the same.

B - greek yogurt

S - turkey pepperettes

L - chicken veggie soup

S - 1/2 protein shake

D - leftover roast chicken, broccoli

S - maybe PB on melba toast but hopefully won't be hungry

Stay away rain! Ginny needs to camp and farmers need to plant their crops.

Good morning :)

Nothing much planned for today which is good because I don't seem to sleep well in this weather. We live in a two storey house and upstairs gets too hot and humid. It's almost better once it gets hotter and the AC turns on.

Accountability: I did not feel like eating yesterday which was good and bad. I ate very little during meals but picked up some snacks.

Post-op four years and three months.

Breakfast - protein shake

Snack - boiled egg and oatmeal

Lunch - tbd

Snack - pepperette and cheese

Dinner - possibly leftover chicken but that doesn't sound good right now

Snack - SF pudding

All water and vits.

Good morning Gang. Well it looks like we are in for several days of rain which doesn't bode well for a weekend of camping. We may end up cancelling Hit the gym this morning for some cardio because my walking buddy here at work is very unreliable - no guarantees when he will go or not.

I might hit up Costco after work - need to stock up on my supplements.

Post Op 3yrs 2 mos

B - Jimmie Dean Simple Scramble - Bacon (picked these up in the US. taste decent and are convenient when you don't feel like prepping your own)

L - chicken quesadilla

D - chicken caesar salad

I'm going to try and forgo snacks today - if I need something I have a protein shake in the fridge.

Have a great day. Stay dry.

S - low fat SF bran muffin

L - roast chicken & mushrooms

S - turkey pepperettes

D - shrimp & sauce, salad

S - 1/2 protein shake (slushy style)

Glad I'm not the only one! I tried responding multiple times and it wouldn't work either.

I am in the middle of my liquid diet stage but I am not on opti - my program uses Iso-flex which you mix with milk and it's not bad. I do add sugar free water flavourings to it though. Dasani cherry pomegranate to the chocolate to make a chocolate cherry. I add the walmart brand orange tangerine sugar free water drops to the vanilla to make a creamsicle type flavour, I also add it to the chocolate for a chocolate orange type flavour. The crystal light pink lemonade and lemon lime crystals both go well with vanilla. I put them all in a blender with ice to make it super cold and almost slurpee like. With mine I can also make a type of ice cream since it is made with milk (not sure if this would work if yours isn't made with milk). I make the shake and then pour it into a bowl and stick it in the freezer. I stir every 20 minutes for about an hour or a little more (if you don't stir it just freezes solid) and it's sort of ice cream type texture. If that doesn't work maybe try freezing into a popsicle?

Good luck - this will be over before you know it!

Good morning :)

Not much planned for today. Possibly tackling some house chores that have been pushed aside lately -- kitchen, I'm looking at you... Yesterday a friend and I went to a mini baby conference thing. I have never seen so many babies in one spot. We watched speakers and had lunch, so that was nice.

Accountability: relatively small pouch day. Had half an egg salad wrap for lunch.

Post-op four years and three months.

Breakfast - blueberry oatmeal bake

Snack - protein bar

Lunch - leftover steak and peppers

Snack - cheese and pepperette

Dinner - absolutely no idea at this point

Snack - SF pudding

All water and vits.
