I was all messed up because your subject line was for Wednesday!! I need this week to be over and you just put me back a day! Lol
QOTD - I love going to all the summer festivals but since I purchased our trailer 3 years ago, I haven't been to much. I use to love going to the food truck event, Canada day event and farmers markets every Saturday.

Good afternoon all. I hope everyone had a wonderful long weekend.... I enjoyed my Saturday with my son and his gf at a local art/craft show along the lake. Sunday was yard work day and then Monday we started some new flooring which is still ongoing. The gym was busier than usual on Tuesday but not too bad last night so tonight I may just relax.
QOTD: Do you do the local shows/festivals through the summer months and what is your favorite type. I really enjoyed this art/craft show even though all we walked out was some SF jam.
B - triple zero peach yogurt (blah isn't too flavorful but i have 3 more to eat)
S - boiled egg
L - chicken sausage with spinach/feta, small salad
S - SF apple sauce
D - protein shake
S - turkey pepperettes
Congratulations on your surgery date! So exciting!
I went through Humber as well and they are fabulous. You are in good hands.
It's been 3 months since my last post so in the interest of keeping any searchers informed on the process, I've decided to come back and update.
My surgery is scheduled for October 7th with Dr Starr at Humber River.
After calling once a week for a few weeks in a row, I received a call from the Bariatric clinic mid May with my first appointments.
May 27 - met Dr Starr
June 10 - Nurse and Dietician (2/3 trios)
June 12 - Dr Glazer
June 28 - Social Worker (3/3 trio)
i called Dr Starr's office right after my social worker appointment to inform them I was done the process and had been cleared. I received a phone call on July 4th informing me my surgery date (October 7) and pre-op appointment (Sept 4) to get Optifast and sign paperwork.
Im super excited and anxious considering I started this process last September with the walk in doctor.

I am not crazy about the shakes either but I found this milk that is 14g per cup. I find it much easier to drink and cheaper too!
Thanks for your thoughts. I think I will probably go ahead with it.
Tanya
I do eat a similar breakfast (0% lactose-free greek yoghurt + fresh berries + sprinkle of Kashi Go Lean)- but I find I'm FULL - so end up often not eating until dinner. That varies. I know I need to get the shakes in but have developed a real distaste for them (curious, as before surgery, I loved protein shakes)- going to have to find some high protein new kinds to try. Those should be where i make up my lack. thanks for filling me in!
I've tried Biotin with no noticeable difference.
Bottom line - it's going to happen. I'm 19 months out. My hair started falling out at approx. the 4 month mark. It hasn't stopped.
Making sure you take your vitamins and get all your protein in is supposed to help but it did nothing for me. I'm lucky in that I have a very thick head of hair so it isn't really all that noticeable.
What is noticeable is the hair growing back.

Hi Red,
I had VSG in Toronto in November 2018 but had lost quite a bit of weight pre-surgery just from changing my eating habits. I am still losing and am very happy with the surgery up to this point....I have had no complications and can eat any foods without issues so if you follow the program I'm sure this would be a great option for you.
Best of luck!
