Hi Nancy. I've seen this post a few times over the years (though not until 2012 or so) whenever I google my sister Joane, or her killer. I'm very sorry for what you went through. It must have been terrifying! I hope you've had support. Any chance you'd be willing to write a Victim impact statement for the parole board?
Sincerely,
Kathy MacNeill (née Dutrisac)
Good afternoon!!
We were out early to take the car to get serviced and while we waited we looked for costumes for the little nugget. No idea what to dress her as.
QOTD: I had a stomach virus last year and I ate a lot of saltines with SF jam. Like pretty much everyday for a month. I also lost around 9 pounds -- not on purpose -- so I don't recommend that. This time I've actually found sandwiches to be pretty neutral for me. DH wanted to make something or order something for dinner one night and I told him even if he ordered food I would probably just eat a PB&J (with SF jam). He was displeased lol.
Post-op four years and six months.
Breakfast - milk
Snack - breakfast sandwich shared with LN
Lunch - tbd... We went to Costco and I ate a nut bar on the way home.
Snack - maybe a ham sandwich
Dinner - chicken pot pie -- darn you Costco!! Lol
Snack - Greek yogurt and pineapple
All water and vits.
Good morning foodies!
It's a bright sunny September here and if I didn't have to work, I'd be out for a long walk enjoying the cooler mornings. My trainer keeps adding weight to all the stations so I'm feeling what I did last night, but tonight is my rest night and I plan on just heading home for a nice supper then some Netflix possibly.
QOTD: Since Meg is battling nausea with her new announcement (she's pregnant yayyy), what are the foods you find best when you aren't able to keep things down? Personally I find that soda crackers almost always settle my stomach. If they sit well then usually an egg is my next attempt.
B - protein shake
S - greek yogurt
L - chicken skewers, 1/2 wonton soup
S - boiled egg with hot sauce
D - STEAK on the bbq, grilled veggies (definately a treat)
S - probably won't be hungry
Unfortunately, Dr Matic isn't accepting patients currently. But thank you!
Congrats Megs. That's awesome news!
I'm glad you liked the keto cupcake. One half of one is a meal.
The Little Nugget will make the best big sister. She is so adorable. Glad Pup#2 is doing better with the spray.

It's been a crazy couple of weeks, started with the worst diarhea of my life the last week of August ended up in emerg on Saturday of long weekend, after tests they said nothing had shown up and I could go home, just keep hydrated. In the meantime on the Friday my Father and fallen and suffered a brain bleed.
On Wednesday had a bad Gall Bladder attack but too busy to worry about it subsided after a few hours, on Thursday the 5th Dad died, on Saturday the 7th had the worst attack yet fever and chills but too busy trying to help Mom out and make arrangements, didn't go to hospital, felt ok Sunday, went to work Monday to tie up loose ends before taking time off to help with final arrangements prior to scheduled funeral on Wednesday.
Life took a serious side step, had another really bad attack on Monday while at work, lasted till about 2 then drove over 2 a friends who lives close by, they wanted to call an ambulance and work but I kept thinking no I can't do this! Friend got home at 3:30 and call an ambulance, rushed to local hospital in Uxbridge, they called the surgical team and TWH and because of concerns that I might have stones stuck in my pancreas I got to enjoy the hour plus long ambulance ride down to Toronto Western. Apparently had developed pancreatitis and colycystitis and also tested positive for E.Coli?, was advised that I was extremely ill, admitted and started on IV antibiotics. After doing a CT and Ultrasound they decided I couldn't wait to have my gall bladder out as the sludge is apparently extremely dangerous if my gall bladder were to rupture. I actually had an appointment with the surgeon on Sept. 20.
Wednesday, missed Dad's funeral, they were able to get me on the secondary list for surgery Thursday evening Dr. Penner agreed to look at my Umbilical hernia to repair but they'd also seen signs of an internal hernia on the ultrasound so they'd have to see. Had Surgery at 9 pm and back to room by Midnight. Upshot Dr. Penner advised I probably would have made it the 2 months it would of taken to get surgery so was extrememely glad they'd decided to keep me and do it then, I also had the largest umbilical hernia he'd ever seen, what they thought was an internal hernia was all just the same massive one. It's interesting my stomach is flat now instead of pointy.
Am home recovering now, will wait till next week to go back to work. Week has been surreal to say the least but excellent care at TWH by the Doctors and nurses, communication not so great and boy they really need to get a handle on meals.

Thanks!! I think we will be busy but the gap is manageable :) and I'm looking forward to when they can play together although the little nugget is a very content kid playing with her toys.
OMG CONGRATS!! Little nugget will be a big sister. I'm sooo happy for all of you! My brother and I were 14 months apart and it was great growing up being close in age.
We will let you slide on the menu considering the cir****tances. As long as you are getting some nutrients, I'm sure the doctor isn't picky on exactly what you are eating. Being sick is bad enough when you aren't pregnant.
B - protein shake
S - greek yogurt
L - chicken skewers, cauliflower
S - sweet potato crackers & hummus
D - Meatloaf, squash
S - apple if hungry
