Topic: RE: What are you eating/doing today -- Wednesday?

Good call on staying home Meg. I slid right past the on ramp to the 401 this morning so had to take an alternate route to the gym. Then my alternate route had a road closure so I detoured again. By that time I'm thinking I should have stayed home. With this crazy weather the gym was the busiest I've seen in weeks. And I thought I was the only crazy one out this morning. Anyway, I did 15 kms on the bike this morning and felt great! Now for a long day at work. We had more snow at my house than they have here at work so it will be difficult to gauge later what my drive home will be like.

Yesterday, we all got a kick in the teeth here at work. We were due to get a 3.25% increase on January 1st. Because the Province MIGHT cut funding to municipalities the City has chopped our raise to 1.5%. Not impressed.

2 yrs 8+ mos out

b - 1/2 everything bagel, 1 egg, 1 slice double cheddar

S - 1 devilled egg (whole egg), raspberries

L - taco salad

S - deli turkey, cheese, pickles

D - sauteed chicken with peppers and onions, sour cream and cheese

Have a great day!

Good morning :)

Seems like the roads might be a bit slippery here today so I moved my appointment to Monday and we will stay home. Yesterday I ended up making applesauce with a bunch of apples that were running out of time. I used the instant pot but I forgot to lock the vent. My house ended up smelling delicious lol. I gave some to the little nugget and she really seemed to enjoy it. We are still working on getting her calories up so I'm really happy she seemed to like it. I will try mixing some in her cereal today.

QOTD: does any food give you the heebie-jeebies? I cannot stomach the thought of pureed meat. I just can't imagine what that texture would be like. I'm also squeamish about oysters.

Post-op three years and ten months.

Breakfast - almonds, protein shake

Snack - egg, toast

Lunch - cheese, pepperettes

Snack - Greek yogurt and blueberries

Dinner - chili -- DH actually had to open the window last night... Let's just say we will all be happy when the chili is gone.

Snack - pudding

All water and vits.

Topic: RE: Aching hips when sleeping new after Rny surgery

Late to the game but I haven't been on in awhile. How goes it with the pain? I'm betting you're putting strain on your hips from the way things sit differently while you are sleeping now that you've lost some weight. Wondering if the pillow between your knees has helped any? Your body is going through tons of adjustments as things shift around, your body has to figure out new ways to carry itself. One of the best things I did this year was to get regular chiropractic care. It started because of a neck issue but who knew how beneficial it would be with all the changes of the body over the year...not me but I'm glad I did it! I've had some aches and pains too, my back a bit and my tailbone is just awful...hurts to sit for more than a half hour. Turns out losing all the padding on my butt would make it very hard to sit without pain lol. Hope your pain has improved!

Good morning :)

Ginnny I'm so jealous of your dedication to going to the gym... Even when it's tough you get yourself there.

I'm not doing anything in particular today. I need to get some stuff done around the house. I might go pick up some bins for organizing stuff. We have too much stuff. Thankfully bins are on sale because it seems to be the time of resolutions and cleaning up :)

Good morning Gang! Nice mild day today! I hit the gym for my weight routine and felt pretty good about the exercise but not thrilled with the image looking back at me! Workout clothes are really not made for you to look good while at the gym. Now put me in the locker room getting into my work clothes then everything is good again! Stupid head/mind.

Still waiting for work to ramp up....I sure hope it happens soon. These days of doing nothing are starting to wear on me. I'll get out to the arena at lunch today with my walking buddy, he discovered his jeans don't fit him anymore over the holidays so he's ready to get back to the walks! YAY.

Post Op 2 yr 8+ mos

GF - small banana, 2/3rds tbsp PB

B - spaghetti sauce (meat no noodles)

S - skyr with blueberries

L - chicken caesar salad

S - deli turkey, devilled eggs (2 halves = 1 whole egg)

D - chicken burger, no bun

Have a great day!!

Topic: RE: Nervous about surgery.

I had surgery January 16, 2018. This past year has been amazing.

I kinda had a two year plan. I am seriously shocked that I lost as quickly as I did, and I'm thrilled it happened that way.

I never thought I would ever be this small. I actually didn't think it was possible.

I don't even know when I last wore a size 8 pair of pants. TBH the last "small" size I recall was in my early teens and that was a 16.

The best advice I can give anyone is to stay focussed, follow the rules and get active. Choose to be healthy and make it happen. The surgery will help you get there. :)
