Topic: One Year Surgiversary!

hello!

one Year and 96 pounds gone. I had hoped it would be at least 100 but I know that will come in the next few weeks. I have learned that it is best not to compare myself with others as we are all different ages, shapes and sizes. I am so happy. I feel fantastic. I am grateful for all the support here and those who have been on the journey before me and with me, you all inspire and guide me. To those of you starting the journey, don't despair, your surgery will be here before you know it. Come here often, the support is worth it.

Referred January 7/17, Orientation Humber May 28/17, Meet Dr. August 4/17, TRIO November 3/17, Internist November 21/17, Surgeon again December 21/17, Pre-op assessment January 4/18 and Surgery January 12/18.

Topic: Surgery Date.

Hi, everyone.

Well, I have to admit, I was feeling pretty down the last few months waiting for my meet the surgeon appointment at TWH. I had been waiting since August 2018 and had started calling in for cancellation appointments in Nov to no avail - just wasn't in the cards for me to get in earlier. But now I can happily say I have a surgery date set for January 29 , 2019.

There is finally a light at the end of the tunnel!

Good afternoon :)

I'm a bit behind today because I had two people over to buy things and I went to pickup something I was buying for the little nugget :) I have a path cleared through the storage room so I will call that progress. This weekend will be a bit busier than usual - tomorrow we are going to see my MIL and Sunday we are supposed to hang out with friends. Apparently we messed up the plans because DH was supposed to hangout with his friend on Saturday, but when I talked to his partner she said Sunday... So I changed plans with my MIL and now our friends are not happy. Can't win!!

Post-op three years and ten months.

Breakfast - protein bar

Snack - nuts

Lunch - chicken and green beans

Snack - carrots and PB

Dinner - pork chops

Snack - pudding

All water and vits.

The other girls are a few years out of surgery. I had VGS just over a month ago so I'm a newbie here.

Welcome back to the board.... I'm sure these gals will help you get back on track!

That is exciting! I am also at Humber. My orientation was Nov 9th (Same day you were referred). lol

I am still waiting for my next step, which will be a call for an appointment with the surgeon. From my understanding, if you get approved by the surgeon, then we will get our next 3 appointments at this time.

I called yesterday regarding my appointment date and they told me that they are still working on the appointments for people would had orientation in October. So still sitting here waiting.

Topic: Just wanted to say hello

I have been lurking for months now. I got a lot of great information from this forum that helped me through my journey.

I had an RNY on December 17 at Guelph General. Things went very well and I feel great.

Looking forward to starting back on solid food again next week and going back to work. (believe it or not!)

Anyway, thank you to all the regular posters- you are truly inspirational.
