Ginny I'm so glad you are finally getting your ergonomic desk. It's certainly been a while. Your menu looks really yummy, especially that salad.
Today I am on the verge of feeling well, and will go out to do a few errands and then I have a doctor's appointment this afternoon.

Good morning Snow People!!! Someone sure ticked off Momma Nature! I wish they would apologize.
Not too much on the go today. I finally got all my new office equipment as a result of the Ergo Assessment and the lady is coming this afternoon to set everything up at the right height/angles/position etc.
I'm ready for vacation next week. I just hope this weather doesn't stick around so I can at least get my flight out. So many flights cancelled in the last week or so.

I'd call the surgeons office especially since you are going away. You want to be safe! Something is definitely not right.
So here's the thing....
It might be a good thing to defer surgery (not sure they would kick you out) to give you a opportunity to deal with your emotional eating issues. It's really important that you get a grip on that because the surgery is only a tool to help you. It's not going to fix your head.
Post surgery life is difficult. This is not the easy way to lose weight. The challenges remain. Head hunger and emotional eating don't disappear when we have the surgery. The struggle is real and if you truly want to cheat this surgery you can.
No matter what happens today, coming to terms with why you are eating is something you are going to have to deal with in order to be successful in the long term.
Hoping things work out today. :)

I have finished everything pre meeting the surgeon, every one has signed off.
Tomorrow I see the doctor and go from there but I am freaking out.
I've lost 20lbs total since orientation in June.. but my last appointment was before Christmas, I had gained 3lbs.
The dietitian is the one who weighed me and she sternly told me that any more gain and I'd need to re refer when more committed.
I have messed up the past month, hello emotional eating, and off the wagon on my fluid restrictions. (I have heart failure and can lose/gain up to 10lns in a day depending on what I put in my mouth)
I'm up, quite a bit I think. I don't know what I'll do if they boot me. Can anyone offer similar experiences and outcomes? I have to go tomorrow afternoon.
- Hello to all!
- I am new here. I am planning to ask my doctor for a referral next week. I started this journey about 4 years ago, however stopped just before I was scheduled for surgery. Life got busy and we were buying a new house, so the timing just wasn't right. I was suppose to go through the Humber hospital site for the surgery at that time, but now understand that Kingston is doing surgery. Is that correct and can anyone speak to the timeline for surgery in Kingston?
- Happy to meet everyone and start this journey again! I'm tired of being tired!!
Hi all,
I am currently looking about five months pregnant due to bloating and gas. I've been burping a lot but the gas seems pretty trapped with regards to the other end. It's painful! It feels most similarly to when I was freshly post-op and filled with gas. This all started yesterday morning. I had two cups of coffee (like I usually do) and did indulge over an hour and a half in a very small muffin, small bits of fruit, and a very tiny square of pastry (a work breakfast meeting). I have arguably eaten more in a sitting since surgery and also recognize that it wasn't the best choice in a meal but we all have those days!
About three hours and two cups of water later, I suddenly began to feel super uncomfortable in my upper abdomen. I was bloating like crazy. And basically began to feel very uncomfortable to the point that my back began to hurt. I started burping a bit and tried to go to the washroom but... nothing.
Initially, I wasn't really concerned because I'm meant to get my period today (but it hasn't quite arrived yet) and the bloating is sometimes a symptom for me. However, it usually isn't so painful or long lasting.
I went and purchased gas-x chewables and took them. They seemed to help for a bit but when I ventured to have a cup of soup for dinner, the pain returned. I was able to drink black tea or water without much issue though.
I went to sleep eith with a heating pad on my belly and woke up burping a storm. But then felt way better. The bloat was mostly gone and so I grabbed a coffee on the way to work. Was totally fine for the entire morning and then ventured to have a bowl of soup at lunch-- bam the bloat is back and it hurts again. On the suggestion of a coworker, I go and buy some papaya enzyme. I take it and some gas-x and feel way way way better so, of course, I wait a few hours and venture to have a protein bar and suffffferrrrr once more.
I am tolerating clear fluids well. I have made a bowel movement but it was very small. I can hear the movement in my belly and burp often but fart very sparingly. But the bloating is horrible and painful.
I am really hesitant to go to the ER for this because it feels like I'll just be sent home with a "it is Gas" and told to relax. Or if when my period comes, I'll feel much better.
Afditioanlyl, I really don't want it to be anything more than gas because I'm leaving for Cuba on Saturday soooo... ah.
Has anyone else experienced this? Any tips? Suggestions? Reassurances? Please?
Just when I had forgotten about the cheddar bacon grillers, you pull me back in, lol.
I'm glad you got a workout in today. Today was my workout in weeks. I had to have a nap this afternoon. The roads were not nice, so I rescheduled some appointments but I did swim and get my bloodwork done.
