I made decaf Starbucks instant coffee. It was delicious to me.
Good luck.
Absolutely go to the states they are way cheaper there. At samscub they are about 16$ a case of 12. The strawberries and cream is awesome. The only downside to sams club is they are sold out of a lot of flavours on a regular basis. Good luck.
Have you heard of anyone going to the states to get some? I'm intrigued by their flavours. Cookies and cream, peaches and cream, strawberry and cream.
Congratulations!
Yeah, it's a struggle in the beginning but it gets better.
I'd just work at getting your fluids in and drinking protein shakes and some soup. That's what I did. I couldn't tolerate oatmeal in the early goings but you will eventually.
Sip walk, toot, sip, walk, toot - that's your job for the next few days. :)

I did Premier Protein. It was just easy. I like both the chocolate and the vanilla. If the caramel shows up again, I LOVED the caramel.

Hey guys,
Any suggestions on best protein shakes/flavours for post op? starting to look into getting ready for surgery.
Thanks
I have noticed I'm not as hungry all the time now it's only been 5 days I've been using the saxenda. I haven't had any side effects at all mind you it's just the lowest dose I'm taking right now. Time will tell...thank you for your reply ?
I was on Optifast for 3 weeks, I had my surgery in Guelph. I was allowed only 1 cup of broth a day, plain decaf tea or coffee, all the water I could drink and Optifast. Never cheated once, because if I did I was only harming myself and risking all the hard work I had put into my journey. The first week was hell.. but then it got easier. At the end, I actually missed Optifast.
If your first thoughts is to post about cheating on Optifast, then maybe you are not ready for this surgery and total life style change. I am now 5 yrs post op. I have maintained my 160 pound weight loss.Dedication and loving my new looks, life and of course health.
Think twice about cheating if you do then you are not ready for this.
That salmon sounds good.
Obviously that other baby isn't as brilliant as the little Nugget.

Thanks CC!! I really need to find a fish that I like... I know it's so good for you but I can't get past the fishy-ness (both the flavour and the animal aspect). I really have to disassociate the animals from the food...
I missed posting this morning because the little nugget had a playdate. It was super cute... Every time she "talked" the other baby started crying.
QOTD: despite me not liking the salmon I know it actually turned out well. It was a spicy rub -- paprika, cayenne, chili powder, basil, parsley, garlic, lemon, butter, salt, and pepper. Pat the salmon dry with a paper towel, sprinkle with salt and pepper, rub on the paste, top with sliced lemon, bake for 10-15 at 400.
Post-op three years and eleven months (appointment March 4th).
