So I had my surgery Feb 13, 2017 and I am happy with my weight loss so far but I'm total scared out of my mind that the scale hasn't moved at all. I guess im scared is that one day it will go up cause it's not going down anymore! My clinic has told me at this far out my calories should be at around 1400 a day but im worried that might be to much! I need advice to see where other people r at or around the same time I had my surgery. Also how much food at one time. They say to eat 1 cup per meal? Does this sound right and for meat should be 4oz serving size? I have to admit that sometimes i don't feel satisfied with how much I eat but I don't want to over eat and stretch my stomach! Please help with some sort of size and calorie ranges? Maybe my eyes are still bigger then my stomach!! Thanks

I have not had my surgery yet, so can't make an informed comment, but I think you are doing great!

Guelph told us to stay between 650-850 total calories per day during the losing phase. If you eat dense protein (chicken breast, steak etc.) you will be less hungry. Protein always first, and if you have room then a little non-starchy vegetable. 1400 calories is in the maintenance range for many here. If you still have a lot of fat to lose, then that is the fuel you want to burn.

Thanks so much for the reply! I am satisfied with the weight I'm at so i guess i should be at the calories they told me. I had my surgery done in Guelph but go to the clinic in windsor. I always eat my protein first of course. Is 4oz of meat the right amount?

4 oz of dense protein is the right amount. Often I can't even get that much in.

Over 100 lbs lost! and 13 lbs below goal weight!
