I get you, I'm not moving much these days, I'm trying to stay under 900 calories a day, but the numbers creep up no matter how hard I try, I'm trying to make sure I get enough protein but am at the point where I know I'm going to have to get more exercise.

But I try to look on the bright side I've lost a ton of weight already, and people keep telling me I'm looking good. I can't survive on the low calories some people do, but I figure losing is whats important, I'm trying to keep my diet sustainable, I don't go for my 3 month till end of June will be interesting to hear what they have to say at TWH then.

But you're doing well, so keep at it.

Hi! I?m very close to your surgery day as my was on Mar 19. I stay around 600-700 calories a day, 70 grams of protein and I avoid most carbs( I?ve yet to hit over 20 grams). Fortunately I have yet to stall and I have never had more energy. It is very hard to figure out what to listen to especially when it?s your Nutritionist that tells you something. I?m sure at my next appt I?ll hear about adding more but I think you just have to do what you feels is going to work for you. I know carbs will be a slippery slope for me so I?m going to avoid them for now. Hope you find something that your happy with:)

Squishy - I stalled too, at around the 3 week mark, and it lasted almost 1 month... I thought my world was coming to an end.. but then revisiting my diet and getting very solid advise about protein intake and changing it up a bit it kick started it up again,

in my opinion, i would not do optifast and would rather get protein plus to help in getting more protein in . I live on canned tuna in water and poached chicken breast to get the best bang for my buck regarding protein.

Good luck

Funnily enough this thread lands at a time where I have been bouncing up and down 1lb for the last 2 weeks. Officially a stall? I'm not terribly concerned.

This week, my weight started to move again and I'm down 1/2 lb each day.

It's just weird and unpredictable how this process works.

I did take a look at what I was eating and backed down the carbs a bit and made sure that my protein wa****ting my targets. All good.

Did exercise have an impact on getting the scale moving again? I have to think it did. I made a conscious effort to move more - 1 extra day at the gym doing weights and a lot of walking.

It's a crazy journey we have embarked upon, and it takes everybody down different paths. Find what works for you and what is sustainable for you.

Remember, this is not a sprint, this is our new lives forever.

Thank you everyone for your encouragement and the use of your knowledge. I have made a conscious decision to change my fitness pal settings to 70g protein, 20g fat and 10g carbs, and I dropped the calories by 100. I also read that skipping rope of all things is a great fat burn during and afterwards. So I picked one up. Funny thing is, I enjoyed it. Brought me back to when I was a kid playing double dutch lol! I am no where near good at it anymore though. I spent more time untying my feet.

Need to kick this stall on its arse!

*hugs* to everyone!
