Hi there:

I am having my surgery at Humber River in Toronto however a friend of mine had hers at St. Josephs. From orientation to surgery it took her 10 months to have the surgery.

I hope this helps.

Hi, i'm currently in Hamilton and will be meeting the surgeon tomorrow. I was referred on June 6/2017, got my orientation letter on June 11/ 2017 had orientation on October 2nd/2017, diet class on December 15/2017.Saw the nurse on January 16th/2018 (appointment was only about 10 minutes long since I have no medical issues), had my EKG? On the same day that I meet the nurse, stomach ultrasound on January 30/2018, saw the dietician and social worker on February 5th/2018 (1pm,2pm), endoscopy was on February 16th, saw internal medicine on March 6/2018 (checked my blood work, appointment was less then 5 minutes since again I have no medical issues), my name was sent in on march 8 and the next day I got a call for my surgeon appointment which was supposed to be on April 5th but got canceled cause of an emergency. So now I have that tomorrow ( April 10/2018).

I know others don't get stuff done this quickly, again i'm lucky I'm so young (20) and have no medical problems as a result of my weight. Hopefully I'll get a surgery date tomorrow as well. I also heard the hospital was getting their funding soon so things are moving along much faster now. Good luck on your journey!!

That's awesome about your appointment!!! :)

Thank you for replying, that did help a lot. Seems like the longest wait is between orientation and the next class, then it keeps moving along!

Good luck with your journey!

Wow! Thank you! Looks like it really is moving a long quickly these days! Fingers crossed that you get a date at the next appointment! I have 2 weeks vacation scheduled, a week in June and one in August and I just know that every appointment they offer will land on one of those 2 weeks lol other than that I have open availability for everything. It's all very exciting! Thank you very much for your reply :) good luck with the next steps!!
