4 week stall is real!
I am having my first scale stall. I know my body is changing but the scale has not moved at all in over a week. Very frustrating but thanks to this site I knew it could be expected. I will continue on and hope next weeks weigh in is better. All you people out there who have gone before us newbies please continue to post as your knowledge is important and you are such a valuable resource!

Hi there, if you haven't already done so take your measurements! I did this and continued to do it monthly on the anniversary of my surgery. It's great to look at these numbers when you feel like the scale is not cooperating. I also took photos each month front, both side views and back.
Measurements I took were chest, arm, waist, hips, thigh, calf and wrist. Just make sure you get the same person to take them each time and one that remembers where they put the tape measure the last time so the measurements are more accurate. I recorded these monthly stats including weight and it still amazes me when I look back at them now.
Have a great weekend.

I took arm neck(mine was pretty chunky) chest waist thigh and I wish I had taken my wrists because I never knew they were fat until I lost 60 pounds looked down at my wrist and realized that that puff of skin at the wrist bone was gone and should never have been there in the first place!

I was not a fast loser but who cares as long as you get there! I know the newbies check the trackers and the signatures so although I kind of lost track of how the rest of the weight came off, you should know that it was not fast and furious but it was slow and steady!
current BMI 24.7 that, my friends, is NORMAL!!! Strong is the new pretty!
I agree with Ginny. Measuring helped keep my perspective. Monitor how you are eating and moving. If you are sticking to your program, you are losing - regardless what the mean scale says!

I agree with the ladies but thought I'd post that I have just come out of a 6 Month stall.
I guess my point is and without getting into it... I have now lost over 15 lbs in the last 3 weeks and am now at the lowest weight yet since having surgery. 272 Lbs when I hopped on the scale earlier today.
I was stuck at 283 290 lbs the entire 6 months. Just going up/down/up/down. I will admit, I allowed myself to stray from the plan a bit and truth be known, My family was not helping me because the crap kept coming into the house. The temptation after ignoring junk foods what just to much after a few days and therefor...I destroyed/ate it. You may have read about my wife leaving recently as well? Anyway, now that I have taken back control of my meals and only eat what my nutritional needs are and stopped eating the junk, I have been losing again.
I will acknowledge that your stall, and one I had around the same point Post Surgery as well as the rest of us is Normal. It's your body just catching up with everything.
So don't worry, stick to the plan and it will kick in again, as it has for me.
Just hoping my post helps you and others realize that stalls come and go and that after my own 6 month stall...the weight is coming off again. So don't worry...Be happy and do like the ladies mentioned, Just recognize that you are still losing mass...maybe just not the lbs.
