waiting for surgeon appointment

I went thought the whole Bariatric Program at TW. i am waiting for appointment to see surgeon. I am just wondering if anyone that is went though this same process how long did you wait for and appointment? and what are the next steps after that?

Hi there Alisha. I was referred in May 2017 and my last appointments were in early February 2018. My file went to rounds on February 15, 2018 and I have just been given my surgeon's appointment for April 27th. TWH is in a bit of a blacklog right now and people seem to have waited longer than normal times for their surgeon's appointments. Mine was quite quick, relatively!

Thank you very much !! I am just nervous that there will be some kind of hick up or something! That's all thanks for the info. I am not even sure when I went to round I'm guessing sometime last week!

I finished everything and was approved in June 2017, had my surgeon appt in October 2017, and surgery a month ago, I understand they've gotten better at closing the gap between surgeon appt and surgery date now.

Congratulations on getting to this point! It's a very exciting time.

Waiting for the surgeon appointment was horrible for me. It was a long wait - and it seemed like it took forever. I also went through TWH. If you don't get an appointment within a month or two, you can email your psychologist for an update. They are usually really helpful about providing an update or speeding things along.
