Orientation Date Confirmed @ Humber
Unless they're a lot different than the other centers you don't get to choose the surgeon, it usually depends on whose scheduled the day of surgery, I did know who was doing my surgery till 20 minutes before.

My experience with Humber has been great. You don't get to chose your surgeon but I knew who my surgeon was from the first appointment I had after orientation. I had Dr Huyn and thought he was fantastic. My timeline was just over 7 months from orientation and that was with me delaying surgery for over a month due to work. My best advise is to research, be prepared to answer questions honestly and buy the Humber booklet, it is very helpful. Good luck!

I just had my surgery 1 week ago at Humber and I too knew who my surgeon was from the first appt which was Dr Hagen. My process was under 5 months from Orientation and everyone was great. Feel free to message me with any questions. Good luck!

No I didn't have diabetes. I know some medical issues require some further testing or follow up but I didn't need anything other than the standard appointments.

Hello!
I'm new here. Are you saying you got a date for orientation before receiving the application (package) in the mail? I'm still waiting for the package myself but no one has called me to schedule any orientation. I was really hoping to get mine done this year too -- this summer, to be specific.
What can I do to speed up the process? Anything? Is someone supposed to call me or should I be calling them? It's been two weeks since I last phoned and they said (at the time) that it would be another 2-3 weeks to receive it in the mail -- again, no mention of orientation.
If you could answer any of my questions or offer me any advice/information, I would really appreciate it :)
Thanks
