Best places to get your vitamins
This is just some suggestion for everyone to help you save some money. So I don't know about everyone but for me I was told to take 2 irons (I'm anemic so double the dose), 1 vitamin c (to help with the anemia), and 1 prenatal. 2 hours later I take 2 300mg (so 600mg) calcium citrate pills and 2 1000iu vitamin d pills, then 2 hours later I do it again.
So for vitamin d Walmart sells a 500 pill value pack (equate) for $9.97
I take the nature's bounty gentle iron which comes with 90 pills and it's $8.47 for 1 at Walmart or $23.99 for 3 at Costco
For the prenatal I buy the equate brand at Walmart for $14.97 and that comes with 250 pills
For vitamin c I got a 500 pack (kirkland) at Costco for $11.97. For some reason it's not on their site but it is sold in stores.
For calcium citrate I got a 350 pack (Webber naturals) for $14 at Costco. Again for some reason it doesn't show up on their site but it is in stores. They also sell a 2 pack version for $28.99
- Hope this is of some help for you guys!
Thanks for the help, I was just wondering myself this morning this exact post. What are the doses on the pills. I like to compare the ratio on dose vs cost.

For the vitamin c I only need 1 a day so 500 will last me forever. Same with the prenatal, 1 a day so 250 is a lot. For vitamin D it's 4 a day so I think 500 for $10 is an amazing deal. I can't find any brand with more then 90 iron tablets in one package so I'm okay with paying $9 for the one I have. I take 2 of those a day and sometimes amazon has a sale for $6. With the calcium I can't find a brand that has more the 350 so I'm okay with that too. I take 4 of those a day
www.procarenow.com has a great bariatric specific vitamin, according to our clinic here in Kingston you only need 1 a day and an additional calcium with lunch and supper.
The bariatric vitamins comes in a chewable and capsule.
I use the Jaimison brand cal-chews (bought from local walmart)

Always give it YOUR 100% and remember everyone's 100% is different!
It's funny how the vitamins vary depending on where you have your surgery, I'm only 2 weeks post op so take 3 tablespoons Calcium with/D split with meals Blueberry flavour not bad, then 2 of the Jamieson chewable vitamins at bedtime, I only lasted 3 b12 strips then got a prescription (luckily covered) when I saw my family Doctor at 1 week out.
I'm post menopausal so I don't think I'll need to worry too much about Iron hopefully. I worry when I need to switch to regular vitamins although they give different options, they don't have to be prenatal which I thought was odd.
I'm just not looking forward to having to take more pills, it's taking me 1/2 an hour to get down all my pills a bed time now (I miss just swallowing the whole handful at once). I'm hoping as my weight goes down I'll be able to stop some of my meds so less pills.
