Protein Shakes too sweet
Why are all the protein shakes so sweet, I managed a chocolate premier protein shake day 1, had a vanilla one yesterday and the only way I could drink was by blending with an equal amount of milk, at least the milk won't hurt, I bought the Splash product from GNC but again really sweet used a lot of extra water.
I've got some sample Vega protein shakes to try but am almost afraid now, but at the fluid stage there aren't too many options for protein, I revisited cottage cheese which I've never liked but just couldn't do it. But the yogurt with unflavoured protein powder is working, I need to decide if I'm willing to add unflavoured protein powder to my soup, which along with my apple sauce is my one daily indulgence for my taste buds?
But at least I'm not having trouble getting in adequate fluids probably as I was drinking 3 times as much before surgery.
So far I've managed to hold off on weighing myself following everyones advice, I see my Family Doctor for initial follow up Monday and will weigh then.
Are there any options for protein shakes in Canada that aren't so sweet?

Try the Splash protein powder at GNC, I bought the berry which kind of tastes like Crystal Light Raspberry, its only 24 gr of protein but I figure if I drink one of those and one the other I'm covering myself off.

But then it's so much to drink took me an hour and a half to drink mine last night by the time I was done decided to skip trying to consume anything else, I'm actually hungry this morning I think??

I mixed a premier protein, added 1/2 protein powder scoop, half of a banana and some ice.
It turned into 750ml and 45g of protein. I split it in 4 and have been having it for "snacks" and lunch. It made a big difference in the taste.
