Vitamin D3 ASAP

In Canada the highest you can find is 1000 IU. I order 5000 IU Dry D3 from Vitalady.

Thanks. I checked out her website. I'm curious as to how big the pills are? I have a hard time swallowing big pills... unless of course they are chewable.

I called the Walmart and Costco pharmacies and they can give me 10,000 IU but only if I get a prescription, so I will likely go that route. If not, I'll go with vitalady.

You may want to ask about the 10 000 IU by prescription as usually that is D2. Have not seen anyone mention getting D3 in Canada by prescription before, it's always been D2.

As for the size it's a tiny capsule no bigger than an advil liquigel. You could always email vitalady to find out if you could open it as that would be an alternative if you can't swallow it.

I called the pharmacy back to double check, and he said they only have 50,000 IU by prescription only. Does anyone know what they're talking about?! So frustrating.

The 50 000 is the D2, don't waste your money, it's not what we need. If you ever go to the US or know anyone that does, they can get bigger doses in their stores but unfortunately here 1000 is the max.

You can get it at any Rexall but all Vit D at that strength requires a prescription. But they will probably need to order it. it comes in 100 softgel capsules and will cost around $33.60. It is vitamin D 10000ui.

I'm pre-op, but out of curiosity, I thought that WLS patients can't have softgels because of the oil, or am I mistaken about what's in a gel cap?

i get about 7500 just through my celebrate multi-twice a day and my celebrate calcium with d soft chews 3x a day. I've been low on D my whole life, not any more.
