Welcome :) Thanks for the good wishes! As you may have picked up on, every centre/program has a slightly different process, so I would just like to note that I can only speak to what happens at my centre, which is Toronto Western Hospital (TWH). That said, if you are going through TWH, ask away, I am happy to help if I can!

"Going to rounds" at TWH occurs after you have had orientation, attended the group nutrition class and had your one on one sessions with the Nurse Practitioner, Social Worker, Nutritionist and Psychologist. Once you have seen all those folks, they all get together to discuss your file and determine whether you are ready to move forward to surgery. I believe they meet on a weekly basis. Once the team have discussed and (hopefully) approve you to move forward, the centre will schedule an appointment for you to meet the surgeon.
