6 months post-op

Today marks 6 months post-op for me. Feels like so much more.

I feel like my surgery is a distant memory, and I can barely remember the old me. The old habits. The old life (boy, did I feel old!).

Everything is so much better now.

I enjoy food so much more because I know that I am limited in the amount I can eat so I tend to savour each bite more.

I love my new body - mirrors are actually enticing now!! I have changed my weight goal as I reached the one I had set and am still not at the BMI I would like (25) so I've adjusted my goal to try to reach that.

I actually enjoy working out now. Not everyday, there are definitely days where it still feels like a chore, but most days I want to put on my workout gear and hit the gym.

I choose to go out and socialize more than I did in the past. My husband used to worry that I needed to get out more, and now I do.

I'm truly just overall happier!

If anyone out there is still considering this surgery journey - I highly recommend it. It gave me a whole new lease on life.

Congratulations!!! You've had incredible results for 6 months out! That's awesome that you're getting out more, and have a new lease on life.

Congrats on the new goal too. Totally inspiring that you have a normal BMI in sight. I keep wondering if it's possible, so posts like yours are super helpful!! :)
