Great NSV

I just bought a new (to me) full length winter coat with a hood at the Value Village. It's from Cleo's and is a size 12 and fits perfectly. I know I wear size 12 pants now but couldn't believe I could get into a size 12 coat.

I kept trying on bigger coats at first, and they were all too big. Then I saw this one and thought "there's no way", but it fit! I really like it; it will be perfect for walking on snowy days. My friend even had coupon for 30% off so it was only $20.00. I'll be nice and warm on my walks from now on!

That's a great find Kathy. It sounds like a beautiful coat. And, in a size 12, yay. You've done so well.

I found a Cleo spring trench coat in cream colour at V.V. I love that place.

Thank you! Your coat sounds great too! I'm definitely going to go back; I need some sweaters and our Sears closed and now we only have Walmart and the smaller stores to choose from.

I don't usually find good deals there but my friend goes all the time and always finds great deals, and I had no idea they have certain days where there clothes go on sale for half off.

I was complaining that I didn't want to spend a lot on a winter coat because I'm not at goal weight yet so it won't fit next winter, and my friend suggested VV. He bought curtains for his new house and we went to hang them together because he'd never hung curtains before :-).

I really find it hit and miss with our VVs. I've found that I can get a lot of things on sale with coupon codes from Old Navy or Costco for similar prices, but every now and then I will hit a deal. I have a coupon for them right now for a percentage off so I want to go when we get back from our trip to the states next week. :)

I know what you mean; I often find items for brand new at Walmart that are cheaper than VV. It's nice to finally find a good deal. My friend has a lot better luck than I do; constantly finding high end quality stuff for next to nothing. I guess it just takes time and lots of visits.

Yes, finally, lol. I have a shorter coat but I was literally freezing my butt off in in, lol. This one is so long it will keep my legs nice and warm all the way down to my ankles.

Right now I'm wearing my old size 3X polar fleece pajama bottoms with the draw string alone holding them up, and an old size 4X hoodie sweat shirt over top of a size 3X sweater. I'm nice and warm but swimming in fabric, lol, so I'm going to have to go buy pajamas next.

That is amazing Kathy. It is weird how our brains still think we are bigger. Congrats!

Thank you! It's totally weird. All of my pants are size 12, except for my leggings, which are size medium, and yet I totally ignored the size 12 coats and was trying on sizes 14-16. I know I lost a lot of weight but still didn't accept that I could fit into a 12 coat because I only fit into a few size medium tops; the rest are a large. Also, I still wear my old big clothes (3-4X) as pajamas, lol.

My cousin sent over a fleece jacket for me today and said it fits her but she has so many already and thought I might like it. I thought there was no way it would fit either, and not only does it fit, it's big enough that I can wear a thick sweater under it. Yet I still think I'm a lot bigger than my cousin.

It's nice to be given clothes as I'm usually the one giving clothes away to my other cousin, lol. I haven't been given clothes in years, not since I was a kid, where I was the recipient of all of my older cousin's hand me downs, lol. I've been the biggest out of all the cousins for years so it's nice to now be able to get hand me downs again, lol.

I was buying pants at Costco, and stood at the table debating between size 10 and 12 for a while. I finally decided to give the 10s a try and they do fit so I'm glad I went that route.
