2 month update

Thank you ---you are so positive- and so supportive! This whole experience and the procedure is so life changing and so monumental for me that reading your posts--- other ONT peeps as well --- really has impacted my life.

Have they mentioned freezing your insicion at all to kill the bacteria? I had a similar issue years ago and they froze it. Killed the infection right away.

Freezing the wound... I had no idea that was an option. Amazing! One of them is almost healed now but the other just continues to be a pest. Glad to know there are other options I can discuss with my doc next week if I need to!

i am so happy for you. you are doing so well in every aspect. i must admit I'm a little jealous. i have not lost as much as you, and we are pretty comparable. i know they say you have to not compare yourself. also i am having such trouble getting my food in and protein in. with the milk intolerance and the whey intolerance and the lack of appetite. but i am so happy for you. really you are an inspiration you are so positive and you always know the right thing to say. it is wonderful to come on here and see you when i come. thank you. for being such a light in the frustrating fog of this journey

Honestly, I get how difficult it is not to compare. I also get how important it is not to compare. I can look at our journeys and say I've lost more than you since surgery, but you've lost more than me overall.

I also understand that it must be so frustrating to have food intolerances. Whey is milk... so it sounds like it's really the one intolerance. Also, i know I mentioned before about figuring out if it's milk or lactose. Lactose is the sugar in milk... and a lot of people become intolerant to lactose.

I get that it's all overwhelming and frustrating and hard to manage. It does get better. I am only starting to feel good in the past week or two... it's such a long journey, but it works out. It does get better, and really, support is the most important. I'm glad your wife is supportive, or it sounds like she is.
