My new life starts on the 28th of November

I saw Dr. Jules at Guelph yesterday. My surgery is booked for the NOV. 28th. I start OPTI on the NOV.21st ( yep.... only 1 WEEK!). He'll do the RNY. I couldn't believe how fast this has been for me. If I can give anyone advice, keep calling the office to see if there at appointments you can into faster? ALWAYS be pleasant! If you can take a transfer to Guelph, go for it.

This is the second time I started this journey. The first time I got cold feet. This time I'm all in and my head is in the right spot.

I think of everything that I have to give up for my new life, then I think of all the things I'll gain. The food vs. health, awesome and cute clothes, being active, loving to look in the mirror, not being afraid of bathing suits, no more sore joints, too many to list.

This group has been eye opening. I have made friends for life. I never expected any of this when I first started. My kids said they want to take lots of pictures so we can compare in a year. They too are excited for Mom's new life to start.

Thank you all for your support. I can't wait to sit on the losing bench. I'll be there soon. REALLY SOON!

No, sweetie, your new life started the day you decided to do this. There will be a few bumps on the road, but you're on the right road to get where you really want to go.

think of all you've accomplished so far that will get you to your goal and give you a long and healthy happy life.

yes, I find this group wonderful too.
