Has anyone else signed up for this app? I got a text "from my surgeon" this morning and all of the info for pre and post opp care is outlined along with menu suggestions and exercise recommendations. It has a count down and check off reminders to pick up things you will need before and after. Kind of makes the process a little more idiot proof and I don't have to cart around my binder so much!

I have not but it sounds great. Which location are you using for your surgery?

Hi Penny

I am with the Weight Management Clinic at the Ottawa Hospital and my surgery will be at the Civic with Dr Kolosvari.

Wow, it sounds great! I wish I would have known about it back when I was preop.

I had it, but sadly did not have a lovely experience with it. Lol. My surgery date didn't get input unti 5 days post op, after I updated it to say I already had surgery (and multiple pre-attempts to fix it), so I never got the reminders or information you're referring to. All it ended up being was post surgery surveys... the same one every day, that honestly, if one thing is off, I felt like gave me this huge warning "go to your hospital to get it checked". I may have just been jaded at that point, plus I'm not a "sky is falling, let me run to ER" diagnosis by survey person, so my experience was somewhat dissatisfactory.

I hope I am the exception to the rule and for most, it is useful and worthwhile.

I use it but the actual app failed Everytime i tried to download it.

I find it good in some senses but it needs alot of fine tuning. Like it asks you if you've done things you shouldn't be doing at that stage and the dates are off. It asks you about yesterday but then puts it as today's date.

I used it and really have nothing bad to say about it. I liked the suggestions and ideas it provides. It walks you along as you progress through each stage up until 4 weeks out I think. It will also ask you to take pictures of your incisions every day or two. Its up to you if you take the pics. Nobody ever contacted me while using it but I was happy to have it as a guide.

hahaha I think asking someone who tries to stay away from the camera as much as possible to take a pic of their big ole belly that has been cut into is a bit of an affront! Good to know that it worked for someone so far still loving it.
