I was super happy this morning. Got on the scale and I've hit my FIRST GOAL of getting into the 220's! I've decided to make short-term goals so I don't get overwhelmed. I also went for my dietician and social worker appointments yesterday and was so impressed with the girls in the Guelph Clinic. I'm still on the 'wall' as to whether I'll do the surgery but it looks like I would be approved with all my health issues. I still want to try and see if I can achieve my weightloss without surgery but will continue through the process and decide at the time of the surgeon appointment. This decision has taken a lot of stress off my shoulders knowing I can still try myself and make the decision later on. Just wondering if anyone else feels the same way or am I just being an oddball???

Now onto my next short term goal of getting into the 210's....

It's totally your decision. I'm just going to guess that you've lost weight before. It's not the losing that is difficult for most of us, its the maintaining!

I think you're on the right trac****ep up the good work!

Over 100 lbs lost! and 13 lbs below goal weight!

Thanks Ginny! Yes now that you say that I've been able to loose but NEVER maintain for long. Very hard indeed! Thanks for your comments!

yes, a very big decision but the best one I ever made. I've lost and gained SO many times over the years. With this new tool I am losing consistently and hope to be able to continue working it through my lifetime to maintain the loss.

Congrats on reaching your first goal!!!
