Ahhhhh....after innumerable calls over the past month to try and move up my December appointments, I called this afternoon to check for cancellations and long story short, my Nurse and Social Worker appointments are now scheduled for tomorrow morning!

I'm in shock! I am now if full panic mode wondering if I have filled everything I need out or if I am forgetting something - my heart is pounding! For some reason, this feels more like the "start" of my journey than the orientation did.

No worries; you'll do fine. Remember this is not a test and your healthcare team ask questions to learn about you and help you along the way. Deep breath. This is exciting news!

Great advice - both the breathing and the remembering that it is not a test! LOL.

Thanks! :)

I had my social worker appointment about a week ago and my nurse appointment is on Thursday. I was so nervous at the appointment I was practically shaking. I was so worried that one of my answers would trigger a "you're out of the program" answer. None did and I was totally honest. She started the appointment by reassuring me that they are there to help me get the surgery if that's what I want. She mentioned it's often the most difficult appointment as it encompasses all everything and doesn't just focus on your medical (nurse), your food (dietitian), mental health (psychologist). So you are asked questions about everything. I was super psyched when I left and felt like they were so helpful.

Good luck tomorrow.
