they are good on their own too. I like them better with pudding, because it softens the texture a bit. they freeze pretty hard.

Ohhh, I've never heard of that. I will have to try. Making pops with chocolate protein powder and sugar free pudding mix also sounds good.

I make herbal tea... add white tea .. mix with Pact and then serve it over ice! This week I will try to freeze it! I also added protein to vitamin water I tasted it it isn't bad it's all cold so it mixed well. Let me know how you do.

Definitely taste your mixture before you freeze it. Unflavored protein has a taste and smell like sour milk. You might need to add things to make it palatable. Sugar free syrups, crystal light mix, MIO or extracts might be needed.

I drank a lot of broth with protein powder added, and I ate a lot of protein puddings. I also had an ice cream machine and make myself protein ice cream everyday for years.

Brilliant idea to make protein popsicles. If you can't handle the protein popsicles, tea popsicles will be great right after surgery.

I've made ice cream too with the pudding/premier mix. I've also done it with my chia pudding mix.

Yikes! Tea with sour milk taste does not sound good. Thanks for letting me know! I'll just do a few with the powder added to start. I'm going to really try to minimize artificial sweeteners after sugery (will have premier protein if I like it at the start but would like that to be it) but maybe lemon extract!!

That icecream maker sounds incredible!!! Genius!

Thanks for all your tips White Dove!!

I know that people are being told that artificial sweeteners are not good, but they are fine. Artificial sweeteners are actually good tasting these days. Splenda tastes almost like sugar to me and one called Whey Low tastes exactly like sugar because it is sugar with the calories and carbs removed.

I used a box of Splenda a week for the first years.

The ice cream maker was one with a self-contained refrigeration unit so I did not have to do any pre-freezing.

If you get one plan on around $150. Make sure that there is no pre-freezing needed. The smaller the better. You are going to be making one drink into ice cream, so you don't need a big machine. It should make soft-serve in about fifteen minutes.

I followed Dr Atkins for years. He was the first person who said to eat high protein and low carb. He considered a good ice cream maker a necessity for anyone who was going to follow a low-carb lifestyle for life.
